Digilock Versa electronic cam locks provide keyless access for compatible lockers, cupboards, drawers and storage cabinets. The range includes keypad and RFID models, Standard and Mini bodies, Basic and Advanced management, and vertical or horizontal configurations.

Versa uses a manually turned cam mechanism. After entering an authorised PIN or presenting a compatible RFID credential, the user operates the lock by turning the knob. Select the correct product reference according to the access method, body size, orientation and management requirements.

Choosing the Correct Versa Electronic Lock

Important: The RFID and keypad product references are separate. Check the complete item description and selected product code before ordering. Not every manufacturer configuration is necessarily included in the options supplied by Total Locker Service.

Versa Keypad versus RFID Operation

Versa Keypad: Users enter an authorised numeric PIN to release the manually operated cam lock. This avoids issuing each user with a physical access card or conventional mechanical key.

Versa RFID: Users present a compatible RFID card, fob or other supported credential to authorise access. This can be useful for facilities already operating a compatible credential-based access system.

RFID compatibility must be checked before ordering. A lock should not be assumed to recognise an existing card solely because the card uses contactless technology.

Basic and Advanced Management Compared

The Versa electronic lock range supports different levels of local management. Basic management provides electronic-key administration, while Advanced supports compatible data-key and tablet management with additional reporting facilities.

Does Versa Support Networked Management?

Networked management is distinct from the Basic and Advanced options listed on this page. DigiLink operation, mobile credentials, Bluetooth features and remote administration should not be assumed to be included with an ordinary Basic or Advanced lock.

Versa Cam Lock Mechanisms and Fitting

Versa uses a manually operated cam rather than the motorised deadbolt mechanism found in some other Digilock product families. Cam selection determines how the lock engages with the locker or cabinet frame.

Manufacturer options include flat, offset and lifter cams, with compatible slam-cam arrangements available for assigned-use applications. The supplied cam configuration must be checked against the door and strike arrangement.

Depending on the model and installation, manufacturer options include 90-degree or 180-degree knob rotation and clockwise or anticlockwise unlocking.

Check the existing cam length, offset, rotational direction, door thickness, fixing positions and available clearance. Do not assume that an electronic cam lock is a direct replacement for every conventional locker cam lock.

Versa Battery Specifications

Versa battery requirements vary according to the access method, body size and mounting arrangement. The following information applies to Digilock's documented 6G Basic and Advanced models.

Digilock publishes a battery-life estimate of approximately three to five years for these documented configurations. Actual life depends on usage and battery condition. Confirm the precise battery requirement for the lock generation supplied.
