Shared-Use Keypad Locker Locks
Shared-use operation is designed for lockers used by different people over time. It is suitable for changing rooms, visitor storage, leisure facilities and workplaces where compartments are not permanently allocated to one person.
Assigned-Use Keypad Locker Locks
Assigned-use operation is intended for lockers or cabinets allocated to a regular user. The PIN remains associated with the compartment until it is changed by an authorised person.
Deadbolt and Deadlatch Options
Aspire keypad locks are available with deadbolt or deadlatch locking. The correct option depends on the locker-door construction, closing action, strike arrangement and available clearance behind the door.
Check the existing door thickness, lock cut-out, fixing points and strike position before ordering. Locks that appear visually similar may not fit the same locker or cabinet preparation.

Management equipment: Programming keys, manager keys, data keys and management tablets should not be assumed to be included with an individual lock. Confirm which accessories are required for the complete system before ordering.
Deadbolt and Deadlatch Operation
The motorised deadbolt can be configured for shared-use lockers, where different people use the compartment during the day, or assigned-use lockers allocated to regular users.
The deadlatch is specified for assigned-use operation only. Its latching mechanism secures the compatible door when it closes. It should not be selected for shared day-use lockers requiring a temporary user PIN.
The selected mechanism must engage correctly with the locker door and strike. A deadbolt and deadlatch should not be considered interchangeable solely because their front units look similar.

What is the difference between Aspire Keypad Basic and Advanced?
Basic uses electronic management keys for authorised override and lock administration. It supports up to 20 users per lock. Advanced supports compatible tablet and data-key management, including activity audits, battery-level reporting and administration of up to 250 users per lock. Choose according to the level of management required. Additional management equipment may need to be purchased separately.
How do I select the correct Aspire keypad lock?

What is the difference between shared-use and assigned-use locks?
