Most key cabinets are wall mounted. Fix the cabinet to a suitable solid surface using fixings appropriate for the wall and cabinet weight. Larger, deeper or high-capacity models may require specialist installation.

What are key cabinets used for?

What size key cabinet do I need?
Count the individual keys, bunches and fobs that need to be stored, then allow spare capacity for future additions. Compact cabinets may provide 10 to 50 key positions, while larger models can provide between 200 and 600 positions.
Stated capacity normally refers to key positions. Large bunches, vehicle keys and electronic fobs may use more space, so cabinet depth and internal clearance should also be checked.
Which key cabinet lock should I choose?
A keyed lock suits straightforward access assigned to one or two responsible users. Mechanical combination locks remove the need to manage another physical key, while electronic locks can support shared access, user codes and additional management features.
