Mobile Aluminium Shelving for Cold Rooms and Commercial Storage

Stacarac mobile aluminium shelving provides corrosion-resistant storage for cold rooms, commercial kitchens, food-storage areas, storerooms and other demanding indoor environments. The anodised aluminium structure is mounted on zinc and nylon castors, allowing the complete shelving unit to be repositioned for cleaning, stock rotation or changes to the room layout.

Each unit has a nominal length of 1000 mm and is available in depths from 400 mm to 600 mm. Choose from one, two, three or four shelf levels, with a stated capacity of up to 190 kg per shelf when loads are evenly distributed and the unit is correctly assembled on a stable, level floor.

Mobile Aluminium Shelving Features

  • Nominal 1000 mm shelving length
  • Choice of 400 mm, 500 mm or 600 mm depths
  • Available with one to four shelf levels
  • Stated capacity of up to 190 kg per shelf
  • Anodised aluminium, PVC and nylon construction
  • Zinc and nylon castors for mobile use
  • Operating-temperature range from -80°C to +80°C
  • Resistant to rust, rot, moisture and corrosion
  • Resistance to mild acids and mild alkalis
  • Supplied flat packed for on-site assembly

Shelving for Cold Rooms and Temperature-Controlled Areas

The stated operating-temperature range makes this mobile shelving suitable for many cold-room, chilled-storage and temperature-controlled applications. Its moisture- and corrosion-resistant materials provide a practical alternative to conventional steel shelving in environments where hygiene, cleaning and long-term durability are important.

Choosing the Correct Shelving Configuration

Select the depth according to the size of the stored items and the available aisle space. The number of shelf levels determines the overall unit height, which ranges from 225 mm for a one-shelf mobile unit to 1560 mm for a four-shelf configuration.

Before repositioning the shelving, make sure stored items are stable and secure and that the route is level and unobstructed. Heavy, tall or unstable loads should be removed or secured before the unit is moved.

Choosing a Mobile Shelving Configuration

Select the shelf depth according to the size of the stored products and the available aisle space. A deeper shelf provides more storage area but also increases the overall footprint of the unit.

The number of shelf levels determines the overall height. Check ceiling height, doorway clearance and surrounding equipment before selecting a three- or four-shelf unit.

Mobile shelving should be assembled and used on a stable, level floor. Loads should be distributed evenly and stored items should be secure before the unit is repositioned. Heavy, tall or unstable items should be removed or restrained before movement.

Mobile Aluminium Shelving FAQs

What sizes are available for the mobile aluminium shelving?

Each unit has a nominal length of 1000 mm and is available in depths of 400 mm, 500 mm or 600 mm. Mobile configurations can be supplied with one, two, three or four shelf levels.

How tall is the mobile shelving unit?

The overall height depends on the number of shelf levels. Mobile units measure 225 mm with one shelf, 670 mm with two shelves, 1115 mm with three shelves and 1560 mm with four shelves.

What is the stated capacity of each shelf?

The stated capacity is up to 190 kg per shelf when the load is evenly distributed, the shelving is correctly assembled and the unit is placed on a stable, level floor.

Is mobile aluminium shelving suitable for cold rooms?

The stated operating-temperature range is -80°C to +80°C, making the shelving suitable for many cold-room, chilled-storage and temperature-controlled applications. Confirm suitability where specialist food, laboratory or extreme-temperature standards apply.

What materials are used in the shelving unit?

The main shelving structure uses anodised aluminium, PVC and nylon. The mobile castors are manufactured from zinc and nylon.
