Standard or Long-Shackle Brass Padlock?
Standard-shackle padlocks should generally be used where their clearance is sufficient. They leave less of the shackle exposed around the locking point.
The 140LFD and 150DLJ provide additional vertical clearance for recessed, widely spaced or awkward locking points. A long-shackle model should only be selected where the extra reach is necessary, as a longer exposed shackle may provide more space for cutting tools or leverage.
