Features

Phoenix CD Series Clean and Dirty Lockers

Phoenix CD Series clean and dirty lockers provide separate storage areas for clean clothing and used workwear. They are designed for workplaces where uniforms, protective clothing or work garments need to be kept organised between shifts.

The divided internal layout allows employees to keep clean garments away from worn or soiled clothing within one secure locker. This supports workplace changing procedures and helps facilities manage workwear more effectively.

Key Features

  • Separate storage areas for clean clothing and used workwear
  • Suitable for uniforms, overalls and personal protective clothing
  • Secure storage for workplace clothing and personal belongings
  • Strong construction for regular commercial and industrial use
  • Choice of available locking systems, depending on the selected model
  • Suitable for installation individually or as part of a locker bank
  • Designed for staff changing rooms and workplace welfare areas

Separate Clean and Used Workwear Storage

Clean and dirty lockers are intended for employees who change into dedicated uniforms, protective clothing or workwear at the beginning of a shift. The internal separation helps users organise clean garments independently from clothing that has already been worn.

The lockers support site hygiene and workwear-management procedures but do not replace appropriate laundering, cleaning, waste-handling or infection-control processes.

Typical Applications

Typical uses for Phoenix clean and dirty lockers
Environment Typical Storage Requirement
Factories and manufacturing sites Separate storage for clean uniforms and worn work clothing
Warehouses and distribution centres Storage for workwear, high-visibility clothing and personal items
Food production environments Organised storage for site clothing before and after use
Healthcare and care facilities Separate storage for clean garments and used uniforms
Engineering and maintenance departments Storage for clean clothing, overalls and worn workwear
Construction and utility sites Storage for work clothing and personal protective equipment

Workwear and PPE Storage

Phoenix CD Series lockers can be used for uniforms, overalls, coats and other workplace garments. Before ordering, check the available internal dimensions and fittings against the clothing and equipment that will be stored.

Wet, heavily contaminated or hazardous clothing may require specialist drying, decontamination or controlled-storage arrangements rather than a standard clean and dirty locker.

Locker Locking Options

Available locking systems may include key-operated, mechanical combination or electronic combination locks, depending on the selected locker model. The most suitable lock will depend on how lockers are allocated and how replacement or management access will be controlled.

Choosing a lock for Phoenix clean and dirty lockers
Lock Type Typical Requirement
Key-operated lock Named users who can retain and manage an individual key
Mechanical combination lock Keyless user access with reduced replacement-key administration
Electronic combination lock Electronic code access with configurable management control

View our locker locks and replacement locking systems for further information about available lock types.

Ventilation and Clothing Storage

Where ventilation is included in the selected configuration, it allows air to circulate through the locker and can help reduce trapped odours around stored clothing.

Ventilation does not actively dry wet garments. Sites that regularly store damp workwear should consider purpose-designed heated drying lockers .

Choosing a Clean and Dirty Locker

Consider the type and volume of clothing being stored, the number of users, the available floor space and the required locking method. Installation planning should also account for door operation, changing-room layout and any site-specific hygiene procedures.

Construction and Modular Installation

Phoenix CD Series lockers use a fixed welded-frame design with robust fixings. Adjoining units can be bolted together to form an aligned locker bank for changing rooms, staff welfare areas and industrial workplaces.

Locker banks should be installed on a firm, level surface and secured in accordance with the site conditions. Additional wall or floor fixing may be required depending on the installation layout and intended users.

Ventilation

Ventilation slots are located in both the locker door and rear wall, allowing air to circulate through the unit. Ventilation may help reduce trapped odours but does not actively dry wet clothing.

Sites that regularly store damp workwear or PPE should consider heated drying lockers .

Door Opening and Finish

Locker doors can be assembled for either right-hand or left-hand opening, allowing the installation to be planned around adjoining lockers, walls and access routes.

Available finishes depend on the selected model. Listed CD Series variants include blue and grey finishes, with the 500 mm-wide model available in a light-grey powder-coated finish.

Flat-Packed Assembly

Phoenix CD Series lockers are supplied flat-packed with a fixed-frame design for assembly on site. Flat-packed delivery can assist where access through corridors, stairways or doorways is restricted.
