Features
Ojmar OTS20 Batteryless RFID Locker Lock
The Ojmar OTS20 Batteryless is a self-powered electronic locker lock that provides contactless RFID access without batteries, charging cables or mains wiring.
Energy required to operate the lock is generated when the user presses the control knob. This removes the need for routine battery replacement while retaining the convenience of electronic RFID locker access.
The OTS20 Batteryless is particularly suited to corporate offices, fitness centres, swimming pools, spas and other facilities seeking to reduce battery use and ongoing locker-lock maintenance.
Self-Powered Push Power Operation
The OTS20 Batteryless generates the electrical energy needed for each operation when the user presses the knob. It does not require disposable batteries, rechargeable accumulators or a wired power connection.
This makes the lock suitable for projects where running electrical cabling would be inconvenient and where facilities want to avoid organising repeated battery-replacement programmes.
- No disposable batteries
- No rechargeable battery pack
- No mains power connection
- No wiring between the lock and the building
- No routine battery replacement schedule
Contactless RFID Locker Access
Users operate the locker using a compatible contactless credential rather than a conventional key or mechanical combination. Suitable credential formats include RFID cards, wristbands and key fobs.
Contactless operation can be particularly useful in busy changing rooms, offices and shared facilities where users need straightforward access without carrying a locker key.
Exact RFID standards and credential compatibility should be checked in the Specification section before ordering, especially when the lock must work with an existing access-control credential.
Reduced Battery Maintenance
Battery-powered electronic locker locks require facilities to monitor battery condition, hold replacement stock and organise periodic battery changes. The OTS20 Batteryless removes those battery-related tasks.
This may be beneficial across larger locker installations where replacing batteries in many individual locks would otherwise require significant staff time and ongoing consumable costs.
- Removes the cost of replacement batteries
- Reduces time spent changing locker-lock batteries
- Avoids disruption caused by depleted batteries
- Reduces the storage and disposal of used batteries
- Supports lower-maintenance locker installations
A More Sustainable Electronic Locker Lock
Removing batteries reduces the materials, packaging, transport and waste associated with repeated battery replacement throughout the life of an electronic locker installation.
This makes the OTS20 Batteryless relevant to organisations seeking to reduce operational waste while retaining contactless electronic access for lockers and office storage furniture.
Suitable Locker Applications
The OTS20 Batteryless is designed for lockers and office storage furniture. Its contactless operation and resistance to moisture and impact make it suitable for a range of commercial facilities.
- Corporate offices and flexible workplaces
- Fitness centres and health clubs
- Swimming pools and leisure centres
- Spas and wellness facilities
- Staff changing rooms
- Office cabinets and storage furniture
Confirm the required environmental protection, door compatibility and installation arrangement in the Specification section before selecting the lock for a particular location.
Planning an OTS20 Batteryless Installation
Before ordering, check the existing locker door, credential technology and intended operating environment. Compatibility should be established at the beginning of the project rather than after the locks have been installed.
- Confirm the locker door material and thickness
- Check the required door handing and opening direction
- Confirm the RFID credential technology already in use
- Check whether cards, wristbands or key fobs are required
- Confirm the intended user and management arrangement
- Review the official fitting instructions before installation
- Check environmental protection requirements for wet areas

No. The OTS20 Batteryless does not require disposable batteries, rechargeable accumulators or an external wired power supply.
Which RFID technologies are supported?
Supported technologies include MIFARE DESFire EV1 and EV2, MIFARE Ultralight, Ultralight C, MIFARE Classic 1K and 4K, applicable 4-byte and 7-byte UID formats, and NFC. Compatibility should be confirmed before using existing third-party credentials.
Which RFID credentials can operate the lock?
The lock can be operated using compatible RFID cards, RFID wristbands and RFID key fobs.
Is the OTS20 Batteryless suitable for wet changing areas?
The lock has an IP55 protection rating. This makes it suitable for many humid and wet-area locker applications, provided the installation conditions remain within the stated protection rating.
How resistant is the lock to physical impact?
