Master Lock 1525 Combination Padlock with Key Control
The Master Lock 1525 combination padlock is designed for managed lockers in schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres, gyms and workplaces. It combines keyless three-number dial operation with a supervisory key-control facility for authorised staff.
Individual users open the padlock with their assigned combination, while administrators can use a compatible control key when a combination has been forgotten or authorised access is required. This makes the Master Lock 1525 particularly suitable for larger locker installations where access and combination records need to be centrally managed.
Master Lock 1525 Key Features
- Fixed three-number dial combination
- Supervisory key control for authorised access
- BlockGuard anti-shim protection
- Automatic dial scrambling when the lock is closed
- 48 mm wide double-reinforced stainless steel body
- 7 mm diameter hardened steel shackle
- 19 mm vertical shackle clearance
- 21 mm horizontal shackle clearance
- Black front dial
- Designed primarily for indoor lockers and cabinets
Fixed Three-Number Combination
The Master Lock 1525 uses a fixed three-number combination. The user enters the assigned sequence using the front dial and then lifts the shackle to open the padlock.
The combination is not normally changed by the individual user. This allows schools, leisure facilities and workplace managers to record each combination against the relevant locker or padlock number.
The automatic scrambling feature turns the dial away from the opening sequence when the shackle is closed, helping prevent the padlock from being reopened without entering the combination again.
Supervisory Key Control
A compatible supervisory key allows authorised personnel to open the Master Lock 1525 without entering the user combination. This can assist with forgotten combinations, locker inspections, reassignment and other approved access procedures.
Control keys and combination records should be stored securely and made available only to authorised staff. When adding locks to an existing system, confirm whether the new padlocks must match an established control key or use a factory-assigned key system.
BlockGuard Anti-Shim Protection
BlockGuard technology is designed to resist attempts to manipulate the latch mechanism with a shim. The padlock also has a hardened steel shackle and double-reinforced stainless steel body for dependable protection in frequently used locker environments.
The Master Lock 1525 is a general-security locker padlock. It should not be treated as a high-security padlock for perimeter gates, expensive machinery or other applications requiring a specialist security rating.
Suitable Applications
| Environment | Typical application |
|---|---|
| Schools and colleges | Student lockers and managed changing-room storage |
| Universities | Student, staff and departmental lockers |
| Gyms and health clubs | Member and staff lockers in dry indoor areas |
| Leisure centres | Managed changing-room lockers |
| Workplaces | Staff, uniform and personal-effects lockers |
| Self-storage facilities | Indoor storage units with compatible padlock eyes |
Check Locker Compatibility
The Master Lock 1525 is designed to fit lockers with a padlock eye of at least 8 mm diameter. The padlock has a 7 mm diameter shackle, with 19 mm vertical clearance and 21 mm horizontal clearance.
Before ordering, check that the locker hasp or staple provides enough clearance for the shackle and allows the 48 mm padlock body to hang freely. Recessed or covered locking points should be measured carefully.
See the range of locker hasp fittings or send Total Locker Service a photograph and measurements of the existing locking point for compatibility guidance.
Indoor Locker Use
The Master Lock 1525 is intended primarily for indoor lockers and cabinets. It is suitable for dry changing rooms, schools, workplaces and managed storage areas.
It is not promoted as a weatherproof or marine-grade padlock. For exposed, wet or outdoor locations, select a padlock specifically designed for the environmental conditions.
Managing Multiple Padlocks
The Master Lock 1525 can be supplied as part of a managed locker system. A combination chart can be used to record the assigned combination, padlock reference and locker number.
Before ordering multiple locks, confirm the required quantities, combination-record arrangements, control-key requirements and locker hasp dimensions.
