Master Lock 4401LHD Bluetooth Outdoor Padlock
The Master Lock 4401LHD Bluetooth outdoor padlock combines smartphone access with a weather-resistant metal body and long boron-alloy shackle. It is designed for securing gates, fences, outdoor storage, equipment compounds, sheds, job boxes and other locations where several authorised users may require access.
The padlock can be opened using a compatible smartphone while the device is within Bluetooth range. An authorised directional keypad code provides an alternative access method when a smartphone is unavailable.
Bluetooth Smartphone and Keypad Access
Master Lock Vault turns an authorised smartphone into the primary access credential. This removes the need to issue physical keys or permanently share a conventional combination.
The directional keypad beneath the protective cover supports primary, temporary and backup access codes. This allows approved users to open the padlock without using the mobile app.
Temporary and Permanent User Access
Access can be shared with employees, contractors, maintenance teams, family members or service providers. Permissions can be temporary, scheduled or ongoing and can be withdrawn when they are no longer required.
Access permissions may be administered remotely, but the authorised user normally opens the padlock locally using a smartphone within Bluetooth range or an approved directional code.
Vault Home and Vault Enterprise
Master Lock offers different management platforms for personal and organisational use. Vault Home is suited to smaller-scale access requirements, while Vault Enterprise is designed for organisations managing multiple compatible locks, locations and users.
The Enterprise platform provides app and web-based administration, allowing authorised managers to assign or revoke access and review relevant access activity.
Weather-Resistant Outdoor Construction
The 4401 series has a durable metal body and a two-piece weather cover designed to protect the padlock during outdoor use. The cover shields the keypad, battery compartment and electronic components from routine exposure to outdoor conditions.
Master Lock describes the product as weather resistant. The padlock should not be advertised as IP56 unless that rating is confirmed in the current documentation for the exact model supplied.
Long Boron-Alloy Shackle
The padlock has a 9 mm diameter boron-alloy shackle designed to resist cutting and sawing. Its long-shackle configuration provides approximately 51 mm of vertical clearance and 23 mm of horizontal clearance.
Check the dimensions of the gate, chain, hasp or fixing point before ordering to ensure that the shackle provides suitable clearance.
Battery and Low-Power Access
One replaceable CR2 lithium battery is included. Master Lock states that the battery can provide up to approximately five years of service with regular use, although actual battery life depends on frequency of use and environmental conditions.
Low-battery warnings are provided through the padlock and compatible app. If the internal battery becomes exhausted while the padlock is closed, temporary power can be supplied through the external contacts using a 9-volt battery. The padlock can then be opened and the CR2 battery replaced.

Padlock Selection Guidance
Measure the gate, chain, hasp or locking point before ordering. The fixing must accept a 9 mm diameter shackle and fit within the available 51 mm vertical and 23 mm horizontal clearance.
Confirm whether the required padlock is intended for Vault Home or Vault Enterprise before ordering. The physical padlocks may appear similar, but their account and administration arrangements differ.
Master Lock describes the 4401 series as weather resistant. Do not state an IP56 rating unless current documentation for the exact product supplied confirms that classification.
