ASSA PIN Stand-Alone Electronic Locker Locks
ASSA PIN electronic locker locks provide secure, keyless access using a numerical keypad. Designed for schools, workplaces, gyms, leisure centres and changing rooms, these stand-alone locks operate without external wiring, network connections or separate management software.
The locks support two operating modes. Private mode provides programmed access for assigned lockers, making it suitable for staff and other regular users. Public mode allows temporary users to select an access code, making it suitable for shared and day-use locker facilities.
ASSA PIN locks are powered by three AAA batteries and provide audible and visual operating feedback. Separate user, staff and master access codes support everyday operation and authorised locker management.
A Micro-USB Type B emergency power connection allows temporary external power to be supplied if the internal batteries become depleted. This helps restore authorised access without replacing or damaging the lock.

ASSA PIN Mounting Positions and Barrel Lengths

ASSA PIN Operating Modes
Private mode: An authorised user accesses an assigned locker with a programmed code. This is appropriate for staff lockers and individually allocated storage.
Public mode: A temporary code is selected when a locker is secured. After the locker is opened, the lock becomes available for another user and code.
Authorised management access is supported through separate staff and master codes. Available programming functions include timed unlocking and delayed operation after repeated incorrect code entries.
Dimensions and Installation
The manufacturer's illustrated lock measures approximately 152 mm in overall height. Its upper keypad section is approximately 34 mm wide, while the lower operating handle has a diameter of 36 mm.
The manufacturer's fixing drawing specifies a maximum nut-tightening torque of 3 Nm. Refer to the complete technical drawing before drilling or modifying locker doors.
The lock can be fitted to compatible existing locker doors, but the fixing preparation and cam engagement must be checked for each installation.
Wet-Area Installation and Gasket
ASSA PIN is primarily designed for dry indoor use. ASSA specifies an optional rubber gasket for suitable wet-area applications.
The manufacturer identifies gasket reference 493390 000000. Confirm that the gasket is required and available for the selected lock. Do not assume it is included.
A gasket does not establish suitability for every environment. Consider direct water exposure, cleaning chemicals, locker-door construction and the manufacturer's fitting instructions.
Emergency Power and Maintenance
When the internal batteries are depleted, the Micro-USB Type B connection allows temporary external power to be supplied for authorised access.
This connection is intended for emergency power, not remote network management. The lock remains independently operated.
