Phoenix World Class Fire Resistant Filing Cabinets
The Phoenix World Class FS2250 and FS2270 series combine fire-resistant document protection with the familiar format of a vertical filing cabinet. They are designed for storing paper files and selected data media where fire protection is required without changing to a conventional safe format.
Lightweight insulation materials help reduce the structural load compared with traditional heavy fire-protection construction, allowing the cabinets to be used on most suitable floors without additional support.
FS2250 and FS2270 Fire Protection
The main difference between the FS2250 and FS2270 series is the level of fire protection provided for paper documents.
- FS2250 Series: provides 90 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
- FS2270 Series: provides 120 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
This allows the appropriate World Class vertical fire file to be selected according to the level of document protection required.
Fire Protection for Digital Media
The World Class range is tested to the MTC DIP120-60DM fire test standard and provides 60 minutes of fire protection for digital media including USB drives, memory sticks and hard drives.
For computer tapes and data requiring extended protection, the optional FSDPI08 data protection insert provides protection matching the respective cabinet series: 90 minutes with the FS2250 and 120 minutes with the FS2270.
Key, Electronic and Fingerprint Locking
The Phoenix World Class fire files are available with three different locking systems, allowing the security method to be selected to suit the installation.
- K models: key locking with two keys supplied.
- E models: high-security electronic locking with LED display, dual control, hidden code and scrambled-code functions.
- F models: touchscreen keypad and fingerprint locking with LED display, internal alarm, dual control, hidden code and scrambled-code functions, with capacity for up to 128 fingerprints.
Protection Against Water and Impact
Water-resistant seals are designed to help protect the contents when the filing cabinet is exposed to water from sprinkler systems or fire hoses.
The World Class series has also been fire and impact tested from a height of 9.1 metres, providing resistance to the impact associated with falling through burning floors during a fire.
Designed for Office Filing
The filing system accommodates Foolscap, A4 and A5 files using width-adjustable filing rails. Compression plates are supplied to help keep stored files organised and make effective use of the available filing space.
The cabinets are finished in scratch-resistant white paint, RAL 9003, providing a clean filing-cabinet appearance suitable for office and workplace document storage.
Choosing Between the FS2250 and FS2270
Choose the FS2250 where 90-minute paper document protection meets the required level of fire resistance. Choose the FS2270 where 120-minute paper document protection is required. The required key, electronic or fingerprint locking option can then be selected independently.
