SafeBook Decoy Book Safe for Discreet Storage
The SafeBook decoy safe provides concealed storage for small personal items inside a book-style case. Designed to resemble an ordinary dictionary, it can be placed among other books on a shelf without looking like a conventional safe or security box.
The concealed compartment is suitable for car keys, cash, passports, jewellery, cards and other small belongings. It is intended for discreet storage in homes, offices, studies, student accommodation and guest rooms.
Realistic Book-Style Design
The SafeBook is designed to resemble a Collins English Dictionary. Its familiar appearance allows it to blend into a bookshelf, personal library or office shelving where an ordinary book would not attract attention.
For the most convincing placement, position the SafeBook upright among books of a similar height and depth rather than displaying it separately.
Removable-Base Storage Compartment
The concealed compartment is accessed through the removable base of the book-style case. No batteries, electrical supply, wall fixing or permanent installation are required.
The product relies primarily on concealment. The current manufacturer description does not state that the SafeBook has a separate key lock or combination mechanism.
What Can Be Stored Inside?
The internal compartment is suitable for storing small personal items, including:
- Car and house keys
- Small amounts of cash
- Passports and identification documents
- Jewellery and watches
- Credit cards and access cards
- Small keepsakes and personal belongings
Check the internal compartment dimensions before ordering where a particular document, key bundle or item must fit inside.
Compact and Portable Decoy Safe
The SafeBook is lightweight and easy to move between suitable storage locations. Its compact design makes it suitable where a fixed or wall-mounted safe would be impractical.
As the product is portable, it should be positioned discreetly and should not be left in an obvious or isolated location.
Suitable Locations
| Location | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Home bookshelf | Concealed storage for keys, cash and small personal belongings |

| Private office | Discreet storage for small work-related or personal items |
| Student accommodation | Concealed storage where fixed furniture or safes are unavailable |
| Guest room | Temporary storage for smaller belongings |

- Dictionary-style decoy design
- Concealed internal storage compartment
- Removable-base access
- No batteries or power supply required
- No wall or floor installation required
- Compact and lightweight construction
- Suitable for small personal items
- Designed for placement among ordinary books
Decoy Safe Security Limitations
A decoy book safe provides concealment rather than tested physical protection. It should not be described as offering the same security as a conventional safe.
The SafeBook does not have a stated burglary-resistance rating, fire-resistance rating or insurance cash rating. It should not be used as the sole storage method for large amounts of cash, irreplaceable documents or high-value items requiring insurance-approved protection.
SafeBook or Conventional Safe?
| Requirement | Suggested product |
|---|---|
| Discreet bookshelf storage | SafeBook decoy safe |
| Small, lower-value personal items | SafeBook may be suitable |
| Physical resistance to forced entry | Choose a tested security safe |
| Fire protection for documents | Choose a tested fireproof safe |
| Organised storage for multiple keys | Choose a key cabinet |
