Wire Mesh lockers

There are a number of different types of wire mesh lockers. Standard wire mesh lockers are available in one to six compartments and lockers using a hasp and staple locking system.

Standard wire mesh lockers are 1974mm high and 305mm wide with depth options of 305mm and 475mm. Locker finish is as standard bright zinc finish though there are other options JS500 or epoxy powder coated in a variety of colours. Mort manufacturers offer lockers as a nest of 1, 2 and 3 or alternatively they are called singles, doubles and triples. this is when lockers are manufactured into blocks of 2 or 3 permanently and cant be split into single nest lockers.

they can also be manufactured into larger blocks with or without door or used as pigeon holes or alternatively for shoe storage.

As standard, they are supplied with wire legs usually 150mm tall with floor mounting feet.

Standard locking method I a simple hasp and staple lock designed to take a padlock, coin return locks can be fitted to the lockers at a premium.

As an option bracket can be fitted to the lockers for fastening the lockers together or to a wall. If you wanted to secure lockers back to back as an island run you would need lockers fitted with mounting brackets on both the sides and the back of the lockers. this would need to be specified as an option as this is not a standard feature of lockers.

Sloping tops are an ideal way of preventing items being stored on top of the lockers. This is also a non-standard item and would need to be specifically specified as part of a quotation.

Coat hooks are sometimes standard and sometimes a specific option it is far better to ask as fitting later will need to be done by the customer.

Locker plating or finish is very important as this is not only decorative it is your only method of preventing corrosion. It is important that if the lockers are to be used in any corrosive or wet environment that the supplier is informed so they can best advise which finish is appropriate for your needs.
