Custom lockers for Monier Redland new changing room

Moiner Redland was upgrading their staff changing rooms in Wigan and needed to install new lockers. They had specific storage requirements, the lockers needed to have the following features.

• Separate storage space that can be accessed by the laundry company for storing clean overalls.
• Storage for staff personal items and hanging space for coats.
• Single door to open both top and bottom compartment
• Additional shelf in the bottom compartment
• The top of the locker should be free from clutter
Space in the changing room was limited they needed to fit into the room sufficient lockers and seating. They also wanted to keep staff belongings inside the lockers and prevent them from storing items on top of the lockers.

Locker specification

We specified a solution to meet their requirements the lockers were two compartments with one small door at the top of the locker for storing clean overalls which can be accessed by the laundry company with one key to open all lockers. The lower larger compartment is used for storing employees personal items. The storage has a hanging rail with two coat hooks and an additional shelf at the bottom. When the staff door is opened, it opens both the top and bottom compartments. To eliminate separate bench seating we provided the lockers with seat stands, the seats manufactured from a single slat of compact grade laminate. To prevent items being stored on top of the lockers we manufactured the lockers with sloping tops.
