What to consider when choosing a key cabinet. Key cabinets come in a wide variety of sizes with a wide range of security features and locking methods. You don’t want to pay for functionality that you would not need or use.
When choosing a key storage cabinet, you should consider the following:
Number of keys to be stored
Size of the keys being stored
The resistance to breaking in
Locking method
Size of key cabinets
Key vault will store keys from 20 to 100
System key cabinets store keys from 20 to 600
Padlock system key cabinets store 24, 50 and 100 keys
High-security key cabinets store 60 to 300 keys
Size of the keys being stored
For large bunches of keys, it is often more cost-effective to select a System Key Cabinet and remove every other key rail to provide more keyspace.
