Lowe & Fletcher Push-to-Turn Hasp Lock for Probe Lockers

The Probe push-to-turn locker hasp lock, supplied as product reference 5720HaspP, is a replacement padlock-operated fitting for compatible Probe locker doors. This Lowe & Fletcher push-to-turn mechanism allows a locker to be secured using a separate padlock instead of an individual locker key.

Based on the Lowe & Fletcher 5703 latchlock design, the handle is pushed inward and turned to engage the rear cam. The handle is then withdrawn, allowing a suitable padlock to secure the mechanism.

Replacing an Existing Probe Locker Lock

This fitting may replace a compatible Probe hasp lock or be used to convert a suitable keyed locker to padlock operation. Before ordering, compare the existing mounting aperture, door thickness, rear cam and locking direction.

Different Probe locker models may use different fittings. A replacement should be selected by its mechanical compatibility rather than the locker manufacturer's name alone.

How to Operate the Push-to-Turn Latchlock

1. Close the locker door and push the handle inward to engage the rear cam mechanism.
2. Turn the handle fully to the locked position. With the latchlock fitted on the left edge of the door, turn anti-clockwise. With it fitted on the right edge, turn clockwise, subject to the selected cam movement.
3. Withdraw the handle without turning it and insert a suitable padlock through the hole in the handle shank.
4. To unlock, remove the padlock, push the handle inward and turn it back to the unlocked position.

Replacement Fitting Checklist

• Check the original locker lock's mounting aperture and door thickness.
• Confirm that the nut fixing is compatible with the door preparation.
• Compare rear cam length, offset, orientation and latch engagement.
• Check the required locking movement and door handing.
• Use a padlock with a 5 mm to 7 mm diameter shackle and suitable clearance.

Important: An unsuitable padlock may allow the latchlock to operate while apparently secured. Use the recommended shackle dimensions and check the locking action after fitting.
