Ojmar coin locks are mechanical coin-operated locks for lockers in leisure centres, swimming pools, gyms, schools and workplaces. Dry-Area, Wet-Area Standard and Wet-Area Security Models
The environment and cylinder system are separate selection factors. The three Ojmar specifications should not be treated as interchangeable simply because the locks have a similar appearance.

A wet-area lock is designed for the conditions found in suitable humid changing rooms, but it does not make the entire locker installation waterproof. Doors, fixings and surrounding components must also be appropriate for the environment. Match the existing cylinder series rather than ordering by appearance alone.
Coin Return or Coin Collection
Choose the operating method to match how the facility manages locker use:
- Coin return: the user receives the deposited coin back when the locker is reopened, making it suitable for refundable deposits.
- Coin collection: the coin is retained in a collecting box, allowing the facility to charge for each locker session.
A compatible collecting box is required for coin-collection operation. Check the selected product package to confirm whether the box and other accessories are included.
Fixed and Adjustable Coin Mechanisms
Fixed-coin mechanisms are configured for a specified denomination. Adjustable Ojmar coin locks allow the accepted denomination to be changed within the mechanism's supported range, which can be useful when a facility changes its deposit policy.
Adjustment requires the appropriate Ojmar template and a screwdriver; a replacement denomination label may also be needed. Not every coin or token size is compatible with every mechanism. The denominations listed on this page are £1, 50p and 20p; check the selected variant rather than assuming that one lock accepts all three. Removable Cylinders and Replacement Ojmar Keys
Compatible Ojmar coin locks use removable cylinders. This can allow a worn or damaged cylinder to be replaced without changing the complete coin mechanism. A replacement cylinder must match the existing lock type, key series and any site-management arrangements.
Total Locker Service lists replacement Ojmar cylinders supplied with two keys. Check the selected complete lock package separately rather than assuming that every lock and cylinder includes the same accessories. Keep the original key number or site key schedule where available.

Ojmar's technical documentation lists a nominal coin-size range of 20–30 mm diameter and 1.5–3.3 mm thickness for LOCKR Classic coin mechanisms. The optional adjustable system is separately described as supporting coin diameters of 21–28 mm. These are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee that every coin within those dimensions can be selected on every lock. Only order a denomination supported by the chosen configuration.
Keys, Coinboxes and Replacement Parts
