The original component was die-cast and failures were becoming more frequent as the installation aged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Total Locker Service was asked to find an alternative indicator bolt that could replace the original part without requiring wholesale replacement of the cubicle installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No suitable off-the-shelf component matched the existing arrangement, so we developed a replacement solution specifically for the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-the-centre-parcs-solution-was-developed\">How the Centre Parcs solution was developed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reviewed the existing cubicle and failed indicator arrangement.<\/li>\n<li>Checked whether a standard replacement could be adapted.<\/li>\n<li>Designed a replacement indicator bolt.<\/li>\n<li>Produced and tested a prototype.<\/li>\n<li>Refined the design for the existing cubicle installation.<\/li>\n<li>Manufactured and installed the replacement components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result was a practical replacement for an obsolete component without requiring the complete cubicle system to be replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-discovery-cupboard-electronic-lock-conversion\">Discovery cupboard electronic lock conversion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another customer needed greater control over access to cupboards within a customer-facing shop environment. The existing cupboards required an access-control upgrade rather than complete replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We fitted Ojmar OTS electronic locks and used custom-made escutcheons to produce a clean finished installation where the new lock did not directly match the original opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-custom-escutcheons-were-used\">Why custom escutcheons were used<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a replacement lock has a different footprint from the original hardware, the old opening, fixing points or surface marks may remain visible.
